OOC: Ian's Schooling
Out of my curiosity and future reference I went searching to see just what Ian would know from school. I looked into what the focuses and classes were that completed the degrees he accomplished. I also took the time to figure out how old he was when certain degrees were attained.
UC: Berkeley: Basic undergrad study with focus in Mathematics (Particularly calculus) and minor in physics (focused on the theoretical side) as well as a few music courses for piano and music theory. Began in the Department of Mathematics but shifted to the Division of Mathematical & Physical Sciences. His involvement with the Division of M and PS gave him the opportunity to get involved in Undergrad research in math and physics.
Degree: Bachelors in Mathematics
Age: 18-22
University of Texas: @Austin: Graduate Mathematics: Includes Algebra, trig, calculus, probability theory, Applied mathematical theories, Statistics, Non-linear analysis, Stocastic processes, Complexity analysis, field theory, chaos theory, and courses in Math education (ie teaching)

University of Chicago Department of Darwinian Science Focuses on Evolutionary and Ecological Theory, Organismal biology and anatomy. Included courses in the fields of Anthropology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Geophysical Sciences, Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology, Zoology, population biology, extinction theory and Statistics.
