This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired.

Backtagging: Sure. I can sometimes be slow.
Threadhopping: Feel free to ask.
Fourthwalling: feel free to ask. I am usually open to it.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): I am pretty open to IC play but warnings for more extreme plots is appreciated.

This is the permissions list for IC (in-character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired. With IC permissions, it's a good idea to elaborate on what other players can expect from your character if they choose to do any of the following:

Physical contact in general Ian is not fond of physical contact, particularly by strangers or people he has just met. He prefers to initiate, or give some verbal indicator, that physical contact is acceptable.. even when it comes to people he knows. He does make some exception for children and people he trusts. Ian can be jumpy, startled, or reactionary when he is touched unexpectedly, even by people he knows. Blame the dinosaur attacks and threats on his life.

Hugging this character: He is typically affectionate to female acquaintances and children. Occasionally he will hug Male friends but it is reserved for those he is very close to.

Kissing this character: platonic affection is occasionally expressed this way and he would not be offended about platonic interactions from friends, people he has prior knowledge if behaving this way, or where culturally appropriate. Due to his exes Ian may react poorly to more romantic kisses unless the character has earned his trust and respect.

Flirting with this character: By all means feel free to. Ian can be flirtatious, especially with women.

Fighting with this character: Ian doesn't like physical confrontation and may avoid it. However, in outbursts he has been known to hit or choke people. Since the incident of Jurassic Park and threats on his life he has started carrying a gun and is being trained to shoot by Muldoon. He would reserve this for extreme threats of physical violence. Verbal confrontation, you have been warned, Ian can be belligerent, arrogant, aloof, aggressive and does not back down from verbal fighting. He does verbally bully others but usually does not use insults. He will try to have the last word in any verbal confrontation.

Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Please do not injure Ian without asking.

Killing this character: I would prefer this not happen.

Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Surface thoughts/mood or non-invasive speaking is fine. Please ask about deeper contact or usage, especially mind reading. Ian has a complex way of thinking and has major PTSD, depression and other issues that may cause things to go awry.


Warnings:
It is important to remember that Ian's behavior is his and not necessarily the view of the player. He has very strong opinions and these also do not necessarily represent the views of the player.

Triggers Ian's canon, and how I play him, has some trigger warnings including... divorce, custody battles, child abuse, PTSD, violence, alcoholism, depression, suicidal thoughts, verbal domestic violence (directed at Ian), threats to Ian's life, and other issues that may be disturbing. I will do my best to warn players and include post warnings.
